Transforming Food Systems for a Sustainable Future
Food systems are among the most critical areas directly shaping the future of the planet, from production to consumption, from supply chains to waste management.
According to Food Security Information Network data, hundreds of millions of people around the world are facing acute food insecurity.
The climate crisis, pressure on natural resources, population growth and multiple global risks highlight the urgent need for a holistic transformation of agriculture and food systems.
In response to this need for transformation, the Sustainable Food Platform (SGP) was established in 2015 under the leadership of Sustainability Academy and the Turkish Food Industry Employers’ Association (TÜGİS).
Why the Sustainable Food Platform?
